STS Major Learning Goals
Upon graduation, students majoring in STS will be able to:
* Describe how science and technology have shaped society and how
society has shaped science and technology in different times and
places.
* Describe with examples how controversies play a key role in the
ongoing development of science, technology and society.
* Possess skills in historical, social and philosophical modes of
critical analysis of scientific and technical writing and practices.
* Possess skills to convey how science, technology and society
interact through written and oral presentation for diverse audiences.
